On behalf of the organizing committee and the Colombian Neurosurgery Association, I give you the most cordial welcome to the XVII WFNS World Neurosurgery Congress. Gathering recognized experts from around the world, we will have ample space for discussion of the most modern neurosurgical approaches and techniques. Furthermore, keynote addresses by leading neurosurgeons, scientists, writers and artists will present us with the latest analyses and advances on the most relevant topics in the world.
To top it all off, we will enjoy incomparable fellowship amidst the varied and rich textures of Colombian music, art, and gastronomy. Bogota, our host city, is a thriving cosmopolitan city located in the heart of the Americas. It is a vibrant local that openly welcomes all visitors. It is home to the largest and most important gold museum in the world, along with many other beautiful sights to see in and around the city. Bogota has direct flights from more than 700 international destinations, and more than 96 countries do not require a visa to enter our country.
Please save the dates from August 29 to September 3, 2021 and consider taking a few extra days of vacation in the company of your family to really take in all our country has to offer: from the UNESCO world heritage site in the old city of Cartagena to the Amazon jungle, Colombia is waiting for you!

Welcome to Bogotá
Bogotá is the capital and largest city in Colombia. A melting pot of people from around the country, it is diverse and multicultural, with a blend of modern and colonial architecture. The predominant colors in Bogotá are the green of the city’s many parks and the eastern mountains overlooking the sanctuaries of Monserrate and Guadalupe, and the rich red of its many brick buildings.
